An advanced workshop for practitioners wishing to apply functional size measurement in object-oriented environments
Description
This workshop aims to teach participants how the functional size of software projects and applications using OOA/D techniques can be measured. The class will establish a common understanding of what is meant by the term 'object oriented analysis & development' and will learn how to map together the conceptual models for OOA/D and for function point analysis. Participants will learn how function point analysis (FPA) can be integrated with the 'usual' practices of an OOA/D project, and the class will suggest ways the resulting measures can be used to improve: project management, requirements, estimating, tracking project scope and progress, and negotiations between customer and supplier.
